Brendan Rodgers says not only Steven Gerrard’s slip was not the only problem in 2014 title race

Former Liverpool head coach Brendan Rodgers has spoken out on one problem he faced in 2014, when battling with Manchester City for the Premier League title.  Rodgers will return to Anfield Road for the first time since he left Merseyside club in 2015. With Leicester City, he will try to finish the winning streak of Jurgen Klopp’s team.  In 2014, Liverpool were close to win the Premier League title, however they lost to Chelsea at Anfield Road.  Blues scored the first goal after Steven Gerrard’s slip seconds before the half time. Chelsea scored second in stoppage time of the second half to break the dream of Merseyside club.  Rodgers, however, says, there was a big problem, Jordan Henderson’s disqualification.  “The story that went unnoticed was Jordan [Henderson] was unavailable for three of the last four games because of a last minute sending off against City,” Henderson told The Telegraph.  “He was a huge miss for us that day (against Chelsea). But as time goes on and you see the images and you realise how well we played that season so I don't lose sleep about it.” he added.
