Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp is speaking to media ahead of Champions League group stage match against Red Star Belgrade.
German manager was asked about the absence of Swiss international Xherdan Shaqiri. Shaqiri has been left out of the squad because of his celebration during World Cup 2018 match against Serbia.

"A lot of times in my life I make decisions about playing squads and they accept it. There is a statement on our website which everyone can read. We are here to play football and that's what we want to focus on." Klopp said (via

"It's not sad, it's the world, politics always has an influence on life. We are here to play football. We didn't want a story beside a football story and that's why we decided." he added.
