Manchester United are in talks with Anthony Martial’s representatives over a new long-term contract.
Martial, 22, has a year left on his present deal but United have the option to extend by a further season.
Marial has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford with Tottenham having made an inquiry. However, United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward believing Mourinho should get more out of him.
United are to sign he Frenchman for additional five years.
Martial joined Red Devils from Monaco in a £36 deal and made only one appearance so far this season – 3-2 defeat at Brighton on 19 August, where he was replaced after an hour.
