Manchester City summer signing Diego Rosa has said his farewells to Gremio ahead of a January move to the City Football Group.
Citizens and the CFG agreed a move in August for the midfielder, but couldn't complete the transfer until he turned 18 in October.
The Brazilian under-17 World Cup winner
signed for an initial £2.65million with another £1.75million to be paid when the deal is completed in January. City will add an additional £0.8million in January 2022.
If he gets promoted to the City first team squad, the Blues will owe Gremio another £3.5million, and for every ten first-team games he plays – up to 30 – they will owe another £4million.
Rosa never made an appearance for Gremio's senior side, but has impressed at youth level enough for City to make their move ahead of reported interest from Juventus.
And now, Rosa has said goodbye to Gremio writing on
social media:
"It's time to say goodbye.
"Gratitude and a huge affection for this club that welcomed me so much. I move on to new challenges, but my big thanks go to the institution, athletes and employees. Thank you Gremista fans, it was an honour."
