BILD: Liverpool made surprising transfer DECISION on Timo Werner

Timo Werner could join Liverpool in the summer but be loaned to RB Leipzig for the entire 2020-21 season, according to Bild. It’s much like Naby Keita was in 2017/18. The 23-year-old has become one of Europe’s best attackers this season, having already netted 27 goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions. He Germany international has a release clause that needs to be triggered before the end of April. Werner has been speaking to Sky - and Liverpool might take note of his comments. He is quoted as saying: “I think that I have the potential and possibilities to play for a big team. I just think there are different procedures [at a big club]. When you say that you must become champions, you must go far in the Champions League, and when you must win the cup. When you use the word ‘must’, the pressure is completely different and much greater.” But he added: “I still have to learn to be 100 per cent there every game and to know that every game is about winning the championship in the end.”  Source: Liverpool ECHO Join us on Telegram!
