Everton celebrated a 1-2 victory over Southampton in Premier League matchday nine, October 1.
The Toffees secured important three points at Saint Mary's Stadium thanks to Conor Coady and Dwight McNeil's goals.
During the clash, The Liverpool Echo journalist Joe Thomas took over his Twitter account to hail McNeil's performance.
The 22-year-old, who joined Frank Lampard's side this summer, scored his first ever goal since his arrival to Goodison Park.
Writing on social media, the jouralist insisted this was the winger's 'best performance for Everton by far'.
"Anthony Gordon comes on for Dwight McNeil. That was McNeil's best performance for Everton by far. Busy in the first half as he grew into the game, his goal was a screamer - and he should also have an assist after that through ball to Demarai Gray". tweeted Thomas.
