Benjamin Mendy reveals gift Paul Pogba gave him for World Cup win

Manchester City left back Benjamin Mendy has revealed gift Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba gave him for 2018 World Cup win. Despite playing in various teams of the same city, both are from the French national team and contributed in France's second World Cup triumph in 2018. During the competition Pogba promised to do something for his entire squad in case of their victory in Russia, an so he did. Mendy has shown off a "World Champions" ring that Pogba gave to him. Speaking on the French midfielder's gift, he told OTRO: "I forgot about this gift from Paul Pogba, The Rings of Champions. He gave one to each player and said before the World Cup: 'if we win I will do something for you guys.' He put each name - like 'Mendy' - 22, some diamonds, the two stars, 'world' and 'champions' and here you have all the scores from the group stage." Mendy also showed the rest of his trophies, including City's several cup wins' medals, a mini replica Premier League trophy and a World Cup trophy replica. "The World Cup, it's not the real one but it's the closest to the real one, only players have this one. It's crazy, but it was like a dream," he added.
