Raising boxing star David Benavidez believes he can beat Canelo Alvarez. The 24-year-old will face Ronald Ellis on March 13 on Showtime. “I’ll knock [Canelo] out! I'll stop him! It takes a lot of balls to say that but the reason why I'm saying that is that I fully, truly believe I'm the one that can beat and stop Canelo," said Benavidez in an interview with TMZ. "The dream scenario is a fight with [Jermall] Charlo right after and then Caleb Plant and then Canelo. That's the dream scenario but the reality of making that happen is very hard." The Mexican, meanwhile, will face Billy Joe Sanders. Canelo holds WBC and WBA belts at 168, while the 31-year-old Saunders (30-0, 14 KO) has the WBO title.
