Ben Chilwell's move to Chelsea could collapse: The Blues go for Plan B

Chelsea's move for Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell could collapse. The Blues have spent huge money to sign Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech and they are set to sign Kai Havertz. A deal for Chilwell had been inching closer as Leicester seemingly reduced their asking price to around the £50m. Chilwell is understood to be keen on the move. However, according to the Sun, due to a heel injury that player is currently suffering with, the move could collapse. Chilwell initially expected to be out of action for a further three weeks. But the paper reports the 23-year-old could be facing nearer six weeks on the sidelines. A source told The Sun: “If Ben gets news he is going to be out for another six weeks, not three, then Chelsea could well take a totally different view on this whole matter.” Should the deal for Chilwell collapse, Chelsea will likely turn to Sergio Reguilon.
