Ben Chilwell to tell Leicester he wants to quit to secure Chelsea transfer

Ben Chilwell wants to tell Leicester this week that he desires to leave the club for Chelsea, according to The Mirror. Stamford Bridge boss Frank Lampard is keen to sign the England left-back. Chilwell, 23, has been at Leicester since aged 12 and is under contract until 2024. But Mirror reports the attacking full-back sees his long-term future at Chelsea. His decision is not just a reflection on Leicester finishing fifth and missing out on Champions League qualification behind fourth-placed Chelsea. His intention to move is based upon where he sees himself playing for the next five-six years. This will be a blow to Foxes' boss Brendan Rodgers. Rodgers said recently he was “relaxed” about the future of Chilwell. It was precisely the same phrase Rodgers used last summer when Manchester United came calling for Harry Maguire.
