Ben Chilwell breaks silence on his injury sustained in Chelsea's win over West Ham

Chelsea's Ben Chilwell said he was hopeful he only suffered a minor injury after being forced off during his side's 3-0 win over West Ham. Thiago Silva’s early header and Tammy Abraham’s quickfire double in the second half secured a comfortable win for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, however Chilwell’s ankle injury in only the ninth minute put a slight dampener on the hosts’ evening. While the 24-year-old's fitness will be closely monitored ahead of the Blues’ trip to Arsenal on Boxing Day, it appears the defender is confident of making a speedy recovery. "Back to winning ways," Chilwell posted on social media shortly after Chelsea’s victory. "Hopefully injury is not so bad. @tammyabraham 🔥"
