BBC pundit Danny Murphy praised Tottenham winger Lucas Moura after his performance against Brighton on Thursday and claims he was "infectious" to his teammates with his efforts.
Jose Mourinho's side recorded a 2-1 win over Brighton thanks to Harry Kane and Dele Alli's goals and moved up to the 5th place in the Premier League.
However, Murphy credited Moura for his relentless energy in the second-half and feels he was a serious driving force.
“He gave a tenacity and a hunger to the Spurs side in the second-half that we did not see in the first-half. It’s not always about playing brilliantly and everything coming off, it’s about trying, doing the hard yards,” he told Match of the Day.
“Lucas Moura did not stop in the second-half trying to do the right things, trying to move his team forward. It was infectious to the other players and it’s not something we associate with him. Someone has to do this kind of work sometimes when the crowd is a bit flat. He was the main reason why Spurs got back in the game.”
