Bayern Munich president gives transfer update on Manchester City winger

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has made it clear that the club will discuss the transfer of Leroy Sane in the new year. The Bundesliga champions have already tried to sign the Manchester City winger during the summer transfer window in order to bring some freshness to the squad after the departure of their legends Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery. Key members of the club, including Hoeness and footballers such as Manuel Neuer, Robert Lewandowski and Joshua Kimmich, discussed Sane’s transfer to Bayern in the media. The first trial ended with Bayern’s apologize to City for making everyone sure Sane would sign for the German club.  The second trial failed too as Sane got a serious knee injury in the Community Shield and couldn’t join them. However, Bayern haven’t lost their hope to sign the player. Speaking on Sane’s transfer, Uli Hoeness told Planet Futbol: "We were very much interested. We had discussions with him, but his big accident, awful injury... we could not go on with that. Therefore, we have to wait now [and see] how his recovery goes on. I think the new people will have to sit down in January or February [and decide] what’s going on with that."
