Bayern Munich have officially announced about signing Lucas Hernandez from Atlético Madrid.
World Cup 2018 champion’s move will cost Bundesliga giants 85 m, as reported in official statements. Hernandez is Bayern’s second signing for the next season after Benjamin Pavard.
How could Niko Kovac’s side lineup next season with having two French newcomers in the squad?
Goalkeeper – Manuel Neuer
Defense – Joshua Kimmich/Benjamin Pavard – Benjamin Pavard/Niklas Sule – Jerome Boateng/Mats Hummels – Lucas Hernandez/David Alaba
Midfield – Javi Martinez – Thiago Alcantara/Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka/Thomas Muller – Serge Gnabry – Kingsley Coman
Forward – Robert Lewandowski
Niko Kovac could have several options for the defense. Also, with Pavard in the squad, Kimmich could be switched to midfield, as he does sometimes at national team.
Note – we have mentioned the players that are currently used by Kovac. According to reports, Bayern Munich will spend record-breaking amount of money for new players.
Among the candidates there are names of Jan Oblak (could replace Manuel Neuer), Sadio Mane (could play in Coman’s position), Timo Werner (could be alternative for Lewandowski), Kai Havertz (could replace James Rodriguez and be alternative with Leon Goretzka and Thomas Muller) and Julian Brandt (could play as a winger).
