Bayern Munich considering a move for Antonio Conte

Bayern Munich are considering a move for ex-Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, according to Corriere dello Sport. Chelsea sacked Conte last summer, after two years in charge. The 48-year-old won the Premier League title in his first season and the Fa Cup in May, but the team finished fifth in the league and failed to qualify for the Champions League. Bayern Munich, meanwhile, replaced Jupp Heynckes and Niko Kovac took off the charge. However, the former Eintracht Frankfurt manager has nearly failed the season and during the season he has been strongly linked with a move away from the Munich club. He had problems with team-players, his side nearly lost the chance to become Bundesliga champions, when the gap between them and first placed Borussia Dortmund was 10 points. After the break, however, Bayern Munich have managed to wake up from a nightmare. The Bundesliga giants failed to gone further in the Champions League as they lost their place in the quarter-finals to Liverpool. Bayern are reportedly considering to replace Kovac and preparing an important offer for the Italian. Conte has been a subject of interest from two Italian clubs- Inter Milan and AS Roma. However, the report suggests, that Bayern are leading the race for his signature, as Conte wants a highly competitive team to return to management. The Italian wants a nice salary and team continuity. Bayern would no doubt be able to provide those benefits.
