The 34-year-old faces his former side in his testimonial match on Tuesday.
The former Germany international spent 17 years at the Bundesliga club before departing to Manchester United in 2015.
He won the Champions League and the league title with the club on eight occasions.
Schweinsteiger moved to MLS side Chicago Fire in March 2017.
