Pep Guardiola is set to make Manchester City defender Eric Garcia a starter amid Barcelona interest, according to
Mundo Deportivo journalist Miguel Rico as relayed via
SportsWitness.
Catalan giants have been linked with 19-year-old as they are eager to re-sign their former academy graduate. The Spanish side want to include their defender to their squad.
However, Guardiola's intention to give Garcia first-team opportunities next season will keep the defender at Etihad.
Garcia has made 21 appearances this term in all competitions for the Citizens. He was available for a number of major games, including the club's 4 - 0 win over Liverpool.
