Barcelona’s Jordi Alba to be out for several weeks

Barcelona left-back Jordi Alba is set to miss numerous weeks after suffering a fresh thigh injury in Tuesday’s 0-0 draw with Slavia Praha. He was replaced by Sergi Roberto at Camp Nou during the Champions League clash. In Barcelona’s official statement is written: “Jordi Alba was replaced at half time in the game between Barça and Slavia Prague due to a problem in his left hamstring. Tests have confirmed that the Barça number 18 has suffered a relapse of his left hamstring injury. The player is unavailable and his recovery will dictate his return to action."
