Barcelona want Chelsea star on free transfer after failing with big-money move

Barcelona are reportedly keen on signing the Chelsea star Willian on a free transfer when his contract expires next summer. The Catalan giants failed with a £40million bid to bring him to the Nou Camp, however, club boss Ernesto Valverde remains keen to strengthen attacking options. It is believed Barcelona even attempted to sign Willian in 2013 before he joined Chelsea. According to Mundo Deportivo, Willian could become a Barca player seven years later. The 30-year-old could leave the club on a free transfer as his contract expires at the end of this season.
