Barcelona have confirmed left-back Jordi Alba had a hamstring injury while playing in the Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.
Alba tried to carry on after receiving treatment but was replaced with Sergi Roberto just a few minutes before the first half ended.
After the goalless draw, the club stated, "
Tests carried out have shown that the first-team player Jordi Alba has a hamstring injury in his left leg. The player is now unavailable for action and his recovery will dictate his return."
The Catalan club haven’t confirmed a timeline for defender’s return, but reportedly he will miss upcoming La Liga games against Granada, Villareal and Getafe.
