Barcelona to open transfer talks with Brazilian midfielder

Barcelona have opened transfer talks with Cruzeiro midfielder Ederson’s agents to negotiate about a potential transfer. As Diario Sport reports Barcelona’s director of football Eric Abidal has been in Brazil to watch the youngster play and have reached to the Ederson’s agent on Tuesday. However, the 20-year-old claimed that he has a duty at the club and doesn’t consider any move away from Cruzeiro. “So far, my representatives have not told me anything about this situation. Therefore, there is not much to talk about until they tell me something,” he said, according to Diario Sport. “If it is true, I am happy for this recognition. But this is not the time to think about leaving. It is necessary to be one hundred per cent focused on the Cruzeiro. I want to help the club that gave me many opportunities. I want to be one hundred per cent here and that is what I am doing and will continue to do.” Ederson’s contract with his current club expires in 2023, and he is currently valued at around €1.50 million.
