Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea pair hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner as alternatives to Raheem Sterling.
Xavi, who has recently been appointed as the Blaugranas head coach, wants to reinforce his attacking options, with Sterling's name being heavily linked.
Barcelona are also considering moves for players who are not playing regularly for their current clubs and prepared to make offers that include only the option to make the deal permanent.
According to
ESPN, Werner and Ziyech are two players the Catalan giants have made approaches for ahead of the winter window.
Werner has started just six games in all competitions, missing the last five through injury.
While Barcelona are also familiar with Ziyech having scouted him extensively prior to his move to Stamford Bridge in 2019.
