Barcelona fined ridiculous amount of money for being guilty of tapping up Griezmann

Barcelona have been fined €300 after Spanish Football Federation (REEF) found them guilty of tapping up Antoine Griezman while he was still in Atletico Madrid. Griezmann’s former team claimed that the Catalan club had negotiations with him without their permission. REEF posted a statement on Thursday to reveal their decision on that: “Taking into account the economic capacity of the club and the amount of the fine, this committee is aware that the payment of €300, beyond its merely symbolic character, will not damage the sanctioned club and, probably, will not persuade other clubs in the same situation in the future to adjust their conduct to the regulations.” The Blaugranas eventually signed the Frenchman in July paying €120m for him.
