Barcelona consider re-signing Garcia from Manchester City

Barcelona are considering re-signing Manchester City defender Eric Garcia, according to ESPN. The Catalan giants reportedly asked about Garcia during conversations over a swap deal involving right-backs Nelson Semedo and Joao Cancelo, the latter of whom has suffered from inconsistency during his first season with City. Garcia started his career at academy ranks at Barca before joining City in 2017, but has yet to earn a regular place in Pep Guardiola's line up. Although City want to sign a new centre-back this summer, Garcia is seen as part of the club's first-team plans and is highly regarded by manager Pep Guardiola.
