Aubameyang, Tierney, Mari: Arsenal injury updates and team news ahead of Manchester City clash

Arsenal will be on action for their next Premier League clash against Manchester City on Saturday, following the international break. Mikel Arteta will be looking to play the club newcomer Thomas Partey, however, he has to face a number of injury concerns ahead of tomorrow's match. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a doubt for the upcoming clash, after picking up an ankle problem during the club's 2-1 win over Sheffield United. He withdrew from international duty with Gabon. Speaking on the player's fitness, coach Patrice Neveu said: "Aubameyang suffers from a small sprained ankle, contracted on Sunday, during the Premier League match against Sheffield [United]. "The Arsenal doctor sent me a certificate indicating his unavailability. He is in care for a week." Arsenal captain has been spotted in training over the past week alongside Willian and Alexandre Lacazette. Kieran Tierney will be left out of City game as he was advised to self-isolate for 14 days after having contact with a COVID-positive teammate, Stuart Armstrong, during his international duty with Scotland. Arsenal said: “Our medical team have confirmed that Kieran was socially distant at all times from the player who tested positive and has broken no rules regarding Covid-19 protocols. "We are currently seeking further advice and clarification of the details.” Pablo Mari's possible return date still remains unclear, with the player being out of action after picking up an ankle injury in the game with City back on June 17. He is continuing the recovery process and will likely to return to full training within the next week.
