Aston Villa could raise £90m from player sales this summer

Aston Villa are sitting on the 19th place of the Premier League table in the relegation zone. Now the club struggles for not returning to the Championship. And if the Villans avoid the Premier League relagation, they would face financial hard times. So the upcoming transfer window can include the sales of some Aston Villa key players. Who could the club sell this summer to raise their funds?

Jack Grealish

Aston Villa star is one of the key players of the club. He was devoted to his side for several years, helping the team to return from the Championship into the Premier League. However, now it would be difficult for Villans to hold their talisman, with the player linked with a number of clubs, including Manchester United. If Villa could sell Grealish, they are likely to have a £60m profit from the player's transfer.

Trezeguet

Recently the Egyptian winger has been linked with a return to Turkish side Besiktas, according to the reports. Though Trezeguet has shown an impressive game in the Carabao Cup semi-final against Leicester - his exit isn’t likely to upset the Villans. The set transfer fee for the winger is at around of £8million so that the club may gain more money for the upcoming season.

Douglas Luiz

Though the club paid £15million for Douglas last summer in order to improve the squad, a year later the 21-year-old is on the list Villans are likely to sell. First senior Brazil cap will play a big role in the player's market value. His next destination is likely to be the club, where he came from, Manchester City. Pep Guardiola's side have the option to buy Douglas back if he’s sold this summer.

More money makers

Another players that can be possible to be sold are Neil Taylor, Henri Lansbury and even summer signing Jota. Villa also have decisions to make over youngsters Andre Green and Callum O’Hare, with both players out of contract in June. But would be compensated if they decided to reject offers to remain in B6.
