AS Roma star Lorenzo Pellegrini could be a perfect replacement for Mesut Ozil at Arsenal, according to Football.london. The 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Emirates.
Despite suffering a metatarsal fracture in October he can offer his good performances to Mikel Arteta. The midfielder has experience as a deep-lying playmaker, box-to-box midfielder and further forward as an advanced playmaker. With Arteta’s preference so far being a 4-2-3-1 system, Pellegrini’s strength in chance creation could help attacking players.
Pellegrini has eight assists in 18 Serie A games. From the map below we can see that he is wide-ranging in overall positioning. For Arsenal, a player with that flexibility would be a suitable replacement for Ozil should he depart. The 23-year-old is valued £26.8m at AS Roma.
