Arteta given green light to start negotiations with Arsenal

According to the Sun (via Sport.es) Manchester City assistant manager Mikel Arteta had a meeting with Pep Guardiola and Txiki Begiristain. Former Arsenal captain was given green light from his colleagues to start negotiations with Arsenal representatives and chief director Ivan Gazidis. Arteta will replace Arsene Wenger if negotiations have good results. Wenger, who worked in London for 22 years, announced he is leaving after this season. He had his last Premier League match with Gunners against Huddersfield, where they beat the rivals to finish the season 6th.
