Arsene Wenger’s answer over Barcelona defeat surprised journalists

Barcelona’s 3-0 defeat at the hands of Roma saw their Champions League shocking exit which is a kind of warning for Arsenal players ahead of their Europa League clash with CSKA Moscow. Barca were leading 4-1 in the first leg at Camp Nou but in the second leg Roma sealed a 3-0 victory to progress to the Champions League semi-finals. Now Arsenal are in the same situation as they won 4-1  over CSKA in the first leg in Europa League quarter last week and Barcelona’s example is something they should be afraid of. However, when asked about the Barcelona-Roma second leg match, Wenger’s answer was surprising for many journalists. ‘I watched the other game [Manchester City vs Liverpool], so only watched the last part of it,’ said Wenger. ‘They conceded early and it can happen, that’s why we love football. It’s not predictable. ‘That’s why it is important we have a positive start as a team,’ Wenger answered.
