Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger admits Danny Welbeck isn't a natural goalscorer.
Wenger says it's wrong to compare Danny Welbeck with Tottenham star Harry Kane.
"I like him because he can play left, right or up front. For me he is a useful player, first of all because of his quality," he said.
"He might not be a goalscorer like Harry Kane for example, but for England he can perfectly play with Harry Kane because he play on the flanks. What is the contrary of useful? Un-useful. Who dreams of being un-useful? We all want to be useful.
"First to be a star, you have to be useful. It's not necessarily not going together. 'Useful' for me is positive. What you mean by 'useful' is a little bit negative. I mean 'useful' because he can play in different positions and I am happy with that."
