Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has spoken to press during press conference in Madrid and uncovered many points relating both his and the club’s future.
When asking about going up against the new breed of manager Wenger answered: “I don’t think first of all too much about my age and secondly I don’t think that Simeone is a young manager, he has huge experience already. He has played Champions League finals, he has won the championship in Spain, he has experiences before he came to Spain.
“I don’t focus on going head to head, my job is to help my team. I forget completely who manages the other team. I just try to get my team in the best possible shape to have a good performance.
“In history he has shown he can make differences. He played in England and was very successful. It’s our job to keep him quiet, maybe the best way is to play in our half and not in the half of Atletico Madrid,”
On his future plans about managerial career the Arsenal boss said: I don’t know what I will do next season. At the moment I like to finish well my job, a man has to give his best as long as he is somewhere. I would like to walk out and think I focus only on Arsenal until the last day. When my job is finished at Arsenal I will see where I will go. I want too finish this love story well.”
