Arsenal want 6’4 star, who could be club's record breaking defender signing

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig this summer. The 21-year-old French powerhouse is considered as one of Europe’s most exciting young defenders. According to The Standard, Gunners are apparently one of the clubs interested in signing towering 6’4 Leipzig centre-back. Mikel Arteta's side were also linked in November but the trail went cold and nothing happened with regards to a January move. As The Daily Mail reports, Konate has a £45 million release clause in his contract with the Bundesliga giants and if a deal happens for that price, he would represent Arsenal’s most expensive defender of all time.
