Arsenal urged to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after Mikel Arteta breakdown

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has endured a difficult time since signing a new deal with the club in September. The Gabonese forward missed games to care for his ill mother, was dropped before the North London Derby for disciplinary issues and then contracted malaria on international duty. Now former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell believes that the 31-year-old has to prove his commitment to the club or move on. “If Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not fully committed to Arsenal, Mikel Arteta has to sell him,” Campbell told Stadium Astro. “[Arteta] has to turn things around, he really does because what’s been happening this season hasn’t been great, although Arsenal still have a chance in the Europa League. “If Aubameyang is fully on board then fantastic, he’s the captain, he stays, you put everything under the sand. But if he’s not fully committed then you have to really look at can we move him on, because unless you’re 100% committed then you shouldn’t have any place at Arsenal.”
