During summer transfer window, Arsenal was looking forward to signing midfielder Jakub Jankto. But the player eventually moved to Sampdoria as a replacement for Lucas Torreira, who left the club for Arsenal.
However, Jankto has only started one match for Sampdoria this season, and overall has played just 163 minutes (substitute appearances).
And during one of his interviews, the midfielder has hinted at unhappines because of a playing time.
In an interview with
isport.cz (per Calciomercato), Jankto said:
“I needed to feel a bit of tension, since I do not play much at Sampdoria.” He then added, “to go play on the field, therefore, did well above all to my psyche. I hope that there are many more goals like the one against Poland, I have had several chances in the previous matches.”
“The Czech Republic? It has changed a lot with the arrival of the new coach. If you look at the games we played with Jarolim you will notice the chaos in the field, the players did not really know what to do and where to run. With Mr. Silhavy, however, the team has become very compact.”
