Arsenal star withdraw from international duty due to serious injury

Gabriel Magalhaes had to pull out of the Olympics with a worrying injury problem. On Wednesday morning, the Brazilian media confirmed that the player will miss the Tokyo Olympics. He apparently complained of pain after his first training season, and the issue is reportedly tendonitis in his right knee and swelling of the joint. Arsenal's centre-back has already left the Brazil camp and will have some time to rest before the new season starts. He will most likely return to England for further assessment and recovery.
