Arsenal defender Calum Chambers has reportedly been offered to Roma in a potential shock January transfer.
The 26-year-old joined the Gunners from Southampton back in 2014, however, his time has been full of injuries and a lack of form hindering his progress.
According to
Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport (via Sport Witness), Roma boss Jose Mourinho is viewing the January transfer window as ‘crucial’ and it’s set to be a ‘particularly busy’ in the transfer market.
As they look to strengthen their defence, Chambers has arisen as a ‘new opportunity’ for Mourinho with ‘intermediaries’ offering him out to Roma.
Chambers is capable of playing at right-back and centre-back, which is appealing to Mourinho and, with his contract running out at the end of the season, he can join Roma in ‘particularly advantageous conditions’.
