Arsenal stance on Yaya Toure deal revealed

Yaya Toure seems to join a new club before the end of the week. The star player left Mancheseter City earlier in the summer. According to his agent Dimitry Seluk Toure has already passed a medical in London and is close to joining a new club in England . The agent has also assured that the new club isn’t West Ham 100% as it’s not the right place for a champion like him.

Arsenal has been another club to be suggested as a possible destination for Toure but according to he won’t be moving to the Emirates.

Toure lost his chance to join Arsenal when still Arsene Wenger was in charge in 2003 because of an issue with his passport, as the former boss once explained.

“It would be up at the top [of my list of regrets],” said the former Gunners boss. “But let’s not forget that Yaya Toure had an agreement with us – and it’s not because we did not want to sign him that he went to Ukraine.

“We needed to wait for his passport in Belgium. We have made mistakes but he is not a mistake, it’s just the fact that he preferred to go to Metalurh Donetsk. He could go there without any passport.”
