Arsenal were in the hunt for a winger in January but failed in their attempts to bring in Ivan Perisic and Yannick Carrasco.
Unai Emery used to play the likes of Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Aaron Ramsey on the flanks and now wide areas are a concern for the coach.
According to
BILD, Bayern Leverkusen player Julian Brandt has a release clause of just €25 million and Arsenal are front runners to sign him in the summer transfer window.
Brandt was one of the shining lights in Germany’s dismal performance in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The 22-year-old came on as a substitute in every game and performed brilliantly.
Brandt averages 1.7 shots per game and 2.5 key passes per game so far this season. The German international averages 44.5 passes every game, 2.5 of which are long balls. With over 80% passing accuracy predominantly from the wing, a player like Brandt will fit into Arsenal’s passing style perfectly.
