Arsenal reached an agreement with Real Madrid over a move for Martin Odegaard, according to Fabrizio Romano. Odegaard will have his medical in the near future and will join the Gunners on a season-long loan. The player will receive his salary from the Premier League side. Romano claims, that the key between his move to the club was a call from Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, who convinced the player to join his side.
The Spanish side signed the talented playmaker in January 2015 from Stromsgodset and the club sent him immediately to their youth side, RM Castilla. The player went on continuous loan spells at Heerenveen, Vitesse and Real Sociedad.
