Arsenal players to donate day’s salary to club’s foundation

Arsenal players will donate a day’s salary to charity this weekend.

Every year in December, the first team stars help the Arsenal Foundation out and this year, the women’s team are also playing their part.

“Players from both our men’s and women’s sides have come together to donate a day’s salary to charity this weekend,” a club statement said.

“Every year since our move to Emirates Stadium [in 2006] the manager and men’s first team have donated a day’s wages over the Christmas period – and this year the women’s team will join this fantastic tradition.

“As a club, we have donated Saturday’s match against Huddersfield Town to The Arsenal Foundation, which means that all the funds raised will go towards supporting deserving projects and beneficiaries in the local community and worldwide with Save the Children.”
