Arsenal had no money for permanent deals: What shall we expect from summer transfer window?

Unai Emery confirmed there was no money for permanent transfers and, indeed, the Gunners could sign only Barcelona Denis Suarez on a season long loan deal.

It was a good business as the energetic midfielder will hopefully give Arsenal a bit of spark and much needed invention. Anyway, fans are not satisfies as one of the biggest teams in Europe have no cash and should ask others to beg, steal or borrow.

At times, Emery’s football has not been great. They can be dull and predictable. With Aaron Ramsey going and Mesut Ozil out of favour, all the creativity in midfield is going. They desperately need to rebuild.

They also need to rebuild defensively. The squad needs major surgery and that’s the frustration from this window. Hector Bellerin is out long term. Laurent Koscielny is back this weekend and Sokratis is not long term. But Arsenal have an issue both defensively and in midfield (even Torreira has been struggling lately).
