Arsenal keen to keep Jack Wilshere

Arsenal want to extend Jack Wilshere's contract. Arsenal was ready to let Wilshere leave last summer, but now they have a new offer for him. Arsenal have now made the 26 year-old a second offer after an initial proposal of around £90,000 a week, plus bonuses, was rejected. The new offer is to keep Wilshere’s basic wage at around £110,000 a week, but also still include added bonuses. Wilshere will be a free agent next month and he has many offers, including Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers, but he never wanted to leave Arsenal. He has yet to discover the identity of the new manager before making his final decision. Arsenal’s transfer budget is only around £50 million before sales, but there is concern over Aaron Ramsey, who has only one more year remaining on his Arsenal contract and has yet to extend.
