Arsenal identify surprise replacement for Petr Cech

According to reports, Arsenal are interested in signing Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope. Gunners identify English international as a potential replacement for Petr Cech, who will end up with his career after this season. With 131 appearances for Arsenal, Cech is currently #2 after Bernd Leno, who has taken the position in starting lineup since his arrival in summer. As Burnley has Joe Hart and Tom Heaton, it could be easier for Gunners to sign Pope, who has been called by Gareth Southgate to national team last summer. Tottenham, alongside with Arsenal, are considering a move for 26-year-old Pope, Mirror reports.
