Arsenal are interested in signing Gremio defender Walter Kannemann and eye him as a replacement for Shkodran Mustafi.
Kannemann has established himself as one of the standout defenders in the South American Serie A.
According to Brazilian media outlet
GloboEsporte.com, Arsenal are following the centre-back’s situation closely and have made contact with Gremio. The Brazilian club value Kannemann at £11.9million – a sum that Arsenal are able to pay with their little budget.
However, the north London club could miss out on the player if they don’t act soon as Wolves are also interested in his transfer.
Kannemann could become a perfect replacement for Shkodran Mustafi. Arsenal paid over £35m to sign Mustafi from Valencia in 2016 but the German has flattered to deceive at The Emirates.
