Arsenal have been handed a major injury blow, as Emile Smith Rowe has been ruled out of England Under-21's opening European Championship qualifier against Kosovo. The youngster was set to start Lee Carsley's first game in charge of the team but was ruled out due to a non-covid related illness. Gunners are set to face Norwich City once the international break is over, on Saturday, September 11. Smith Rowe is hoped to be ready and fit to play against the Canaries.
