Arsenal have been given a boost in the race for Samuel Umtiti

Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti has been linked with a move as the Catalan side is interested in signing Matthijs de Ligt. Several clubs, including Arsenal and Juventus have shown an interest in the player. However, Barcelona has put a £68million price-tag, after which Juventus pulled out of the race. Samuel Umtiti has made overall 12 appearances during this season due to suffering a knee injury. The Catalan side signed Umtiti two years ago from Lyon for around £25m but they still believe they can turn in a healthy profit if they sell him this summer.
