Arsenal fans name 5 players that can be sold and replaced by U21 youngsters

Arsenal fans think several players have too much wage, and could be sold and replaced by U21 youngsters. List of 5 players include 2 goalkeepers. Petr Cech started the season as player of starting lineup, but he recently got injured and opened a place for Bernd Leno, who is supposed to become number 1 choice for Unai Emery. Leno was bought this summer from Bayer Leverkusen. Germany national team goalkeeper was among the best number ones in Bundesliga. Hardly was he supposed to become a player of rotation. Emery, however was not sure whether Leno can be good in several aspects including passing abilities. Cech’s weekly wage is £100.000, which is too much for a potential second goalkeeper, according to Gunners fans. David Ospina, another goalkeeper, currently playing for Napoli on loan deal, has a £40.000/w salary. Ospina’s future in Arsenal is almost decided, however Gunners still pay Colombia international his wage, which is also a problem for financial reports. 3 other players are Carl Jenkinson (£30.000/w), Nacho Monreal (£55.000 p/w) and Mohamed Elneny (£65.000 p/w). Despite being a player of starting lineup, Nacho Monreal is already 32. His best years have already passed, and Arsenal can find a replacement for Spaniard in academy, or try Sead Kolasinac. Jenkinson’s future is similar to Ospina’s. He is not playing for Gunners for consecutive seasons and will surely leave the club on permanent deal. Mohamed Elneny, despite being an important player for rotation last season, can’t be assured for more playing time as Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi have proved their class in starting matches. Guendouzi will be used for rotation, while Xhaka and Torreira are confident for their positions under Unai Emery.
