Arsenal defender Sokratis to miss EFL Cup clash due to injury

Arsenal defender Sokratis will miss Wednesday’s EFL Cup tie against Brendford but he is expected to be fit to face Watford on Saturday. Sokratis suffered a dead leg in Sunday’s 2-0 win against Everton and will be available to play Watford at Emirates Stadium. Unai Emery is expected to name a similar side on Wednesday to the one that lined up in the Europa League last week.
