Arsenal want Arsene Wenger to return to the Emirates before a planned tribute to the legendary manager. Wenger spent 22 years coaching the Gunners and left the club in 2018 having won 3 Premier League trophies, 7 FA Cups and 7 Community Sheild trophies.
Under Wenger, Arsenal went through an entire season unbeaten in 2003/04. The Frenchman also took the Gunners to the Champions League final in 2006, however they lost to Barcelona.
However, in 2018, the manager left after spending 22 years at Arsenal and it is understood that Wenger was hurt by the manner in which the club treated him towards the end of his 22-year reign, with sources suggesting he would not even return to watch a game.
According to the
Mail on Sunday , chief executive Vinai Venkatesham visited the legendary manager to reassure him that he is always welcome at the Emirates amid a reported tribute that will happen in the next year.
