Unai Emery has left Mesut Ozil out of squad during the latest EPL match against Bournemouth.
“We thought about how we can be better in the match today, with a very demanding match physically with their intensity against us and we decided. But every player is important,” said Emery after the match when asked why he chose not to use Ozil. “Also today we tried with three centre-backs. It’s another opportunity to improve and find our best performance. It depends on how the matching is coming and how the result is coming during the 90 minutes. I decided for another option.”
Despite the fact, that Emery still considers Ozil as one of key players, statistics show that Gunners play better without their #10.
North London club has won 3 matches out of 3 without Ozil and has scored 10 goals.
Without Ozil Arsenal have won only 5 matches from 10 and lost two with 3 draws.
